Last week was filled with heightened emotions – I knew that the last week before half term was likely to bring a tired and emotional JJ but I hadn’t realised that the first week of the second half of term would also be an adjustment for him too. His behaviour in the evenings was rabid – I was at that stage of throwing my hands up in despair not knowing what to do for the best before my mum stepped in on her day with EJ and had a quiet but effective word. This week things have definitely been considerably calmer (although I don’t think bedtimes will ever be truly ‘calm’!). I was able to use JJ’s new found love of Ludo and Snakes and Ladders to my advantage by encouraging him to help me, rather than hinder, with getting his brother to bed and managed the amount of time I spent playing rather than being held to ransom up to his bedtime (supposedly 7.30) and beyond!
Everything Blogfest from the programme, to the Twitter feed scrolling above the panellists heads on the day to the free copy of Red magazine that was included in the goody bag!
Some entertaining, enlightening and thought-provoking panel discussions and ‘Think Bombs’ at Blogfest on Saturday. This was my very first blogging event and it was, on the whole, a very positive, enjoyable experience. People watching took on a whole new meaning too as the people I was watching were strange yet familiar at the same time. I guess this is a bit like going to a school reunion after a 25 year gap and seeing people who are both well known yet completely different…
